Jeremy Quick Trio

Jeremy Quick (Guitar & Effects), Shane Allessio (Acoustic Bass), Miki Matsuki (Drums & Percussion)

The Jeremy Quick Trio performs regularly around the Greater Boston area and throughout New England. With an emphasis on collective improvisation and group dynamics, the Trio maneuvers seamlessly from original compositions to traditional jazz standards, and from modern tunes to free jazz.

www.myspace.com/jeremyquickjazzJeremy Quick first gathered public experience playing folk, sacred, rock and blues styles. In college Jeremy developed an interest in jazz and immersed himself in his favorite styles: Swing, Bebop, Hard Bop, and Modal. He attended classes at the Berklee College of Music, where he studied under John Wilkins, who remains his biggest influence, and Jon Damian. Jeremy has drawn heavily upon the styles of Grant Green, Wes Montgomery, Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz, Jesse Van Ruler and the incomparable Jim Hall. Since his arrival to the Boston area he has performed with many artists including Bob Gullotti (the Fringe), Phil Grenadier (John Scofield & the Sco Horns), Josh Rosen (3 Play), Ted Casher, and others.


Shane Allessio (bass)

Shane Allessio is an acoustic/electric bassist, composer/arranger and educator w/ experience in jazz, rock, funk, and classical music. Originally from Amherst, MA, he now resides in Boston.  He has
performed and recorded with artists such as Joe Hunt, Dino Govoni, Phil Grenadier, Mike Tucker, Jack Perricone, and Yoron Israel among others, and has toured internationally with pianist Makoto Takenaka.
In 2008, his debut CD, “Shane,” hit the streets, and is now available on cdbaby.com.  He is currently principal bassist with the Quincy Symphony Orchestra, and section bassist with the Cape Ann Symphony.


Miki Matsuki: Drums


Drummer Miki Matsuki was born in Matsuyama, Japan.   She moved to the United States to study jazz at the Berklee College of Music in 1996.
During her school years, Ms. Matsuki’s band was selected “Best of Berklee” in 2000.   Since graduating from Berklee, she has performed
and recorded in various musical settings including soundtrack work, the performances at the radio and television broadcasting stations, the concerts at the Symphony Hall, a tour of Korea, etc.   Ms. Matsuki
has performed with great musicians including Wynton Marsalis, Joanne Brackeen, George Garzone, Darren Barrett, Dave Bryant, Stan Strickland, Charlie Kohlhase, Eric Hofbauer, Garrison Fewell and many others.   Ms. Matsuki received her MM and GPD in Modern American Music
Performance from the Longy School of Music with full scholarship and the award.



In case of rain, all outdoor events will be held at Carmen Verandah, right next to the Village Green.
